The Rise of the Esthers
He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.
Psalm 147: 4-5
The Holy Spirit has kept his foot on my neck about this post for the past few days. The supernatural shift of this season has everything to do with the power and might of our Heavenly Father. While we were given authority, borrowed power, and strength to do certain things, there are no limits to what God can do. God is sovereign, so he does not have to be mentioned by name, and he needs no introductions. Esther’s rise to royalty was a surprise to all, except God. When we least expect it, God will transform everything and everyone around us so that we can fulfill the purpose of our existence, and for us to answer the calling over our lives. While God is preparing you, he’s also placing your destiny helpers and purpose partners in a position to help you. It is incredibly important that if you’re choosing to answer your calling, that you have wise counsel who are appointed just for you. Mordecai is the most important ally to Esther in the bible. He divinely guided her, rallied others to fast and pray, and made sure that both of them were in positions for their anointed timing. The most famous quote from Esther is “for such a time as this”. However, one of my biggest pet peeves is taking scriptures out of context. If you’ve noticed, the home page of this website was updated to reflect a more accurate interpretation of Esther 4:14. Mordecai gave Esther a warning in the first part of that scripture that says, “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.” If God called you to do something, that means he created you for such a time as this (now you know I had to add that in)! However, if you choose to be disobedient, God can and will reassign you. And you just might curse you and your whole bloodline. God appointed you and he gave you the anointing to see things through. If God called you by name, it is your season and your time to shine brightly on earth as it is in heaven.
In Hebrew, the name Esther means secret or hidden. Some of you ladies are God’s best kept secret! Like Esther, your season of hiding or waiting has not been in vain. It’s the time to prepare and to get in position to be revealed. God is grooming you so that when it’s your time to show up, that you show out honey! Ladies you are a precious and rare gem! Every one of you was designed by the hand of the great I AM! And there is something so special and unique when God calls each of us by name. When it is your time, God will call to activate you. Are you ladies ready? How will you know when you’re being called and what you’re being called to do? Some of the ways that we come to understanding our callings, are through our gifts. One of the first gifts you were ever given on earth was your name. What does your name mean? How does it apply to your life now, and where God is sending you? The Persian meaning of the name Esther is star. The scripture that was chosen to lead this post, was intentional. Sure, I could have chosen to quote a verse from the book of Esther. However, part of this faith walk is understanding the roots of it all. God chose to reassign Vashti and, he positioned and appointed Esther as the queen. And before he did this, he changed her name. Sometimes when God needs to change the course of history, you have to obtain a new name that fits where he’s taking you. Interestingly enough, the book of Esther is one of two books in the bible where God is not mentioned by name (hidden in plain sight). Remember, God is intentional, and when you know him, he doesn’t need to tell you when it’s him. You’ll already know by his miracles, signs, and wonders! Women of God, your light is meant to shine brightly! You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You’re one of one. Only you can do, what God has destined for you.
Our wise counsel and allies are also rewarded when they are obedient to their own callings. Mordecai’s story is a perfect example of the last being first and, the first being last (paraphrased from Matthew 20:16). When God wants to change something, he normally sends people. Destiny helpers and purpose partners are necessary because God’s vision and purposes for his kingdom are bigger than you and me! It takes a community of people to fulfill the will of God. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10. Jesus had the 12 disciples because he needed a community of people (yes Judas served a purpose as well) with him when he was here on earth, and to continue to build his church after he ascended into heaven. Everyone attached to us, serves a purpose not only in our lives but for the kingdom. I pray that when we are called, that we all rise to the occasion! God is calling his daughters to come out of hiding. Come out, come out, wherever you are!!!! If God has called your name, it is your time to rise! May all the stars align in their anointed, appointed, and divine timing. I pray that you beautiful ladies know just how important you are to the Most High God. All rise ladies! If it’s your time, show up, show out, shine bright, and high step in Jesus’ name!
Always with love,
Love Esther
