Shifting The Atmosphere

A great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already being swamped. But he was in the stern asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still” Then the wind ceased and there was a dead calm. He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?”

Mark 4: 37-40

The power and the authority to shift the atmosphere was not just given to Jesus when he was here on earth. All of us have the authority through the Lord to shift the atmosphere. Have you ever witnessed a person enter a room, and the “energy in the room” immediately changes? This person has so much power that all heads are turned, and some may even whisper “I wonder who that is?” When the spirit is positive, you are witnessing someone walking in their power, authority, and anointing. If you get it, you get it! The scripture above shows Jesus using his authority that was written in Genesis 1:26 and his faith in the Lord to bring peace to an unruly storm. I’ve written in the past few posts about my struggles, the warfare, and the storms that I was facing. Yet, my faith and trust in the Lord, scripture, my wise counsel, and praise and worship has finally restored my peace. It’s a level of peace that I’m not sure if I’ve ever experienced. The things surrounding my life are still moving a mile a minute. So, I took some time last week to really dig deep during my reflection time and course correct. I touched on this during the 2.0 version of a previous post, so I won’t elaborate on that here. Anywhooo… during this time, I gave my frustrations, fears, concerns, and repentance to God. Give the burdens back to God, because he is the God that makes all things possible. Then, it was my turn to understand the power and authority that I have to shift my circumstances. And babyyyy I’m back!!!!

Your voice is powerful, so use it wisely! Esther used her voice to save the Jews from genocide. The authority of her presence, and the power of her voice has been written in history for generations to come. She took a huge risk, but she relied on her faith to see her through what could have been catastrophic. David played the Harp for Saul in 1 Samuel to restore Saul from the presence of an evil spirit. And you can do it too Punchinella, Punchinella! We have the ability to not just shift the atmosphere, we have the ability to alter the trajectory of our lives and the lives of everyone attached to us. You may be asking; how can we do this??? With faith! Have faith that God will do what he says that he will do and be obedient to what God instructs you to do. Some of our assignments may not look the way we’d like but find joy in it anyway. Sometimes, your mere presence can be the ripple effect in the places and spaces that we enter and exit.

Your show up in this season can be the difference between acceleration, delay, or being reassigned. Sometimes, the Holy Spirit will give us this nagging feeling about showing up to a place or an event even when we don’t want to go. I’ve witnessed and experienced this firsthand. This platform was created… Because of my show up. I didn’t understand why I was being called to a conference for entrepreneurs, and yet I understood that the Holy Spirit called me to go, and I was merely obedient. I thought I was just meant to support my prayer partners in their business ventures. And the birth of this venture was the result (thank you twin for allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through you). What happens when we don’t show up or we aren’t obedient? Well, what you’re called to do may be delayed (that’s God’s grace), or… You may get reassigned. For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 The will of God must happen in an anointed and an appointed time, and he will make it happen with or without you! If God called you to it, he wants to you use you! God wants you to know just how special you are to him and his kingdom. Which is why he gave us this authority to shift atmospheres from the very beginning (reference to Genesis). And sometimes, all you need to do is show up! The spirit of children can shift in an instance, with just the presence of a loved one. So, when you’re called to show up, understand there is a reason. One of my favorite sayings is “There is power in your voice, and there is strength in your silence”. Your voice is needed, your show up is needed, and your silence is also needed. User discretion is advised (discernment). However, God calls you, and however he wants to use you. Just know that you can and will shift the atmosphere by operating in obedience and exercising your faith. Faith the size of a mustard seed can produce magnificent miracles that are seen and unseen. I pray that you ladies know just how powerful you are! This week, take some time to reflect on your circumstances. Maybe, just maybe you can calm the storm, move mountains, and ward off the weapons formed against you and the people connected to you.

Always with love,

Love Esther
