Seeing In Threes
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
Today’s message is very specific and is only intended for those who this resonates with. I’ve spoken before about the fact that God speaks to me in repetitions. The specific number that God speaks to me in, is the number three. Spiritually, it’s the most significant number in my life (it is not my favorite number fyi). One of the reasons I often get divine interruptions or repetitions in threes, is because the Lord knows his baby is hardheaded and stubborn, you hear me?!?! During a recent prayer call, I was led to deliver a message about seeing repetitions in threes. The number three obviously represents the Holy Trinity, and a lot of significant things in the bible happens in threes. The number three represents completeness, but not in the same representation as the number seven. It represents God’s complete wholeness and throughout the bible, anything that God wants to emphasize is normally repeated three times. This pattern is not a coincidence, its God! So for those of you who this message is intended for, know that God sees you, he hears you, and most importantly, he loves you. I pray that the Holy Spirit moves you and I pray that you understand the magnitude of the divine assignment that God has for you.
Three days in the belly of a whale (Jonah), three times Jesus says to Peter “Feed my sheep” (John 21: 15-17), Jesus died for three days, which was the sign of Jonah (Matthew 12: 40-41) and our Heavenly Father reveals who he is in threes, “Which is, which was, and which is to come.” (Revelation 1:4). In the case of Jesus’ death, the third day symbolizes God’s complete wholeness, divine authority, new life, and a new covenant. It shows God’s power, and it also shows his love of his son, and his love for us. Some of our threes may be grace or warnings. In the case of Jonah, it was only God’s grace, power, and mercy that could allow him to survive in the belly of a “huge fish” for three days. Under normal circumstances, this is impossible. But God, only God could use his saving grace to preserve Jonah for his assignment. The number three can also be redemption. In the case of Peter, Jesus gave him the ability to redeem himself by agreeing to feed his sheep, since he denied Jesus three times. With God, there is grace for our journeys. Even when we are disobedient, when we stumble, when we fall, and when we fail… There is loving grace and mercy that will see us through.
The Heavenly Father, the son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are the Holy Trinity. The three within one, and all three (all tree of y’all) hold a very near and dear place in my mind, heart, and spirit. Not only in everyday life, but also on this platform, you will see me talk about and reference the trinity. I speak to all three and I pray that the significance and the impact that they have had on my life shines brightly. I pray to God through Jesus. I also pray and talk to Jesus. And more often than I’ll admit the Holy Spirit really spares ya girl from overthinking, overreacting, and showing up just when I need it the most. I’m going to finish with something very simple. Whatever God has revealed, confirmed, or shown you… Be prepared! Get all of your things in order, because there is a divine timeline and, in this season, God is doing things suddenly! We are seeing Amos 9: 13-15 unfolding right in front of us, and I’m excited to see and experience all the victories God has in store for us. The threes represent God’s complete wholeness, and maybe that’s why some of us are experiencing this distinction for seeing things in threes. I pray that in this new season, may your hearts desires align with the will of God, so that he may grant you access to one of the greatest seasons of your life.
Always with love,
Love Esther
